Corporate Consulting Chef

For Bistro En Route, Joe provides critical business consultation identifying capable manufacturing partners as well as facilitating product development and streamlining product assembly with process reengineering to increase quality and profit. Joe also leads recipe creation of High Pressure Pasteurization (HPP) meals, and provides strategies to improve packaging, labeling, and distribution.

Managing Partner, Co-Owner

Joe is currently the managing partner and co-owner of a small craft pizzeria located in Cleveland Park, Washington D.C., a restaurant featured multiple times in the Washington Post and DC Eater Magazine within its first year of business. Joe singlehandedly established the LLC and handled the business side of the establishment,  creating and implementing operating budgets and projections and defining financial goals and targets. Joe monitors the restaurant on a weekly basis providing financial analysis and strategic guidance to optimize sales and help the restaurant succeed despite the difficulties of the current pandemic environment. Joe facilitated and coordinated all applications and documentation for PPP loans as well as Federal, city and local grants resulting in a total award of $100,000. Amidst the height of the pandemic, Joe was featured on a Fox News TV Spot and praised for his leadership in business practices (maintaining all staff who wished to continue working) and resiliency despite challenging times.
